How To Improve Your Posture and Height

Imagine walking down the corridor, everyone turning heads and looking at you, (wo)men giving you "the look", people actually listening to you for once, getting the respect you deserve

You don't have to imagine that because that can and will be you! Don't laugh!

Read on and I will stop you from searching how to increase my height in Google!

Posture is very important for health benefits too but it is also a great factor to increase your height by up to 6 inches and that is what you will discover here. Along the way you will discover things like why it is important to improve your posture and see which methods will help you.
Things such as carrying a heavy back pack, sitting in a slouched position, carrying things to heavy at work or in your personal life, sleeping wrong and even walking wrong can all create bad posture.

Take a look at the hunchback of notre dame. He had a really bad posture and as you can tell he was short but imagine him standing straight up. His height would have increase by quite a lot!

After the growth plate fusion has occured, it is impossible for your bones to grow any longer. For girls this will happen before they hit their 20's and for boys it will happen just after. DO NOT be fooled by all those miracle height growth pills, machines and creams that say they can increase your height even if you are 30. These are scams and don't work!

There is only one way you can grow taller after your growth has stopped and that is to improve your posture. Your posture accounts for 35% of your height and if you improve your posture you can grow an extra 2-6 inches.

Many people have bad posture, sometimes it is genetic and most of the times it is a habit that has been picked up on a daily basis. By improving the way you stand you can look taller.

To start looking to improve your posture you will want to relieve that pressure from your spine as much as possible.

-Sitting Posture
Your sitting posture is important if you are someone who works at a desk or a student who is always sitting at a desk. The posture you want to adopt is to have a straight back but not too straight that it becomes uncomfortable as this can cause more pressure on your spine.
If you are lucky to have a chair with a back support then you want to use this support to keep your back straight as it will be less uncomfortable.

-Standing Posture
When you are standing and walking around you are putting the most pressure on your spine. To improve your posture here you will want to keep your back straight. Take note of your shoulders too, don't let them drop down as this can cause you to lean slightly forward. You want to keep it straight, shoulders in check and try to avoid carrying heavy bags on your back and shoulders as this can add stress to your back.

-Sleeping
Sleeping is the best time to relieve all the stress on your back. When you are sleeping you want to lie flat on your back with your head slightly lifted or not at all. This may feel uncomfortable from your usual sleeping position but that curled up position won't help your spine at all!
